To think that God (who according to Psalm 7:11 feels indignation everyday) has provided a scapegoat for my sins, and has made a way for me to have peace with Him at the cost of His own Son–I dare not insult Him by refusing His offer of amnesty, and refusing to believe His promises!

As it is written in Hebrews 10:28-29:

Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

God will rejoice to do good to us in the new covenant!

Jeremiah 32:40-41

“I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.”

This sounds very similar to what Jesus Christ said in Luke 12:32, “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” What good news we have received that God says He will rejoice in doing good to us, and not to harm us!
