GOD MADE YOU EXACTLY AS YOU ARE—ON PURPOSE

“The LORD will work out His plans for my life— for Your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for You made me.” (Psalm 138:8, NLT)

God didn’t make a mistake when He made you. He had a plan in mind—a purpose only you can fulfill. I’m not you, and you’re not me. Each of us is a unique tool in His hands, designed for a specific job.

Your goal is not to copy someone else. At best, you’d only be an inferior imitation of them. Instead, be the person God designed you to be. Even the parts of yourself you don’t like—the quirks, the flaws, the traits you wish away—can be the specific things God desires to use when surrendered to Him.

If you only knew, you would realize that the parts of you that you thought were a mistake are actually the parts that make you uniquely equipped for your assignments. You are a key that fits locks that no one else fits. What you say and how you say it resonates with certain people. God will lead you to those people. You need to stay ready. He made you exactly the way you are on purpose.

You don’t have to figure it all out. You’re not the Carpenter—you’re His tool. Rest in His hands and let Him use you as He chooses.

Prayer:

"Lord, lead me to the people You want me to speak into. Give me the opportunities where I can be most effective. Cleanse me and cure me from the horrible and deceptive trap of comparison. I will praise You because I am “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Let me be fully me, but a me who is clean and filled with all You are. When I question who I am, I am actually doubting and rebelling against You, the One who made me that way. And I am missing the purposes and assignments You have for me."
