HAVE YOU DONE THE LAST THING JESUS TOLD YOU TO DO?

Question for you to ponder:

Why would God do the NEXT thing you want Him to do for you when you haven't done the LAST thing He told you to do for Him?

Retrace your steps to when your heart burned within you and you knew God was speaking. Have you done what that was or has the urgency to do it left? If the urgency to do it left, that’s an indication you quenched the Holy Spirit. If you quench Him often enough, He will stop speaking. Or, it may be that He continues to speak, but things are so clogged up inside of you that you can no longer hear Him.

You need to go back and get that right. Remember what it was and do it. Another question: If the Holy Spirit told you to do it, is a single feeble attempt good enough?

My most treasured possession is the nearness of God and hearing Him speak to me. My most urgent need is to abide in His presence and respond to His voice when He does speak.
