RESTORE ME

God never discards broken, worn-out things. He restores and repurposes them.

The definition of restore is to bring something old and neglected back to life.

The definition of repurpose is to take something that feels worn, broken, and past its prime and give it meaning, direction, and usefulness.

This morning, I am reading in Psalm 6 and David asks this question, “How long, O LORD, until You restore me?” (Psalm 6:3B NLT).

I asked the Lord that same question, and then I realized I no longer needed to ask it in the form of a request. He is doing it!!! RIGHT NOW, He is in the process of restoring and repurposing me. Instead of a request, I am turning it into a praise.

He longs to do that exact thing in you! I can hear you saying, “Gayle, I can’t do what I used to be able to do.” So what!!! That’s what the repurposing part of the equation is! You don’t decide what He’s going to do with you in this season of your life. HE decides that part. You simply present yourself and ask Him to do absolutely anything He desires.

It’s going to be so exciting to watch the old things that begin to come back to life in you. And it’s going to be even more exciting to watch the new things HE has planned for you that you never even thought about before.
