HOW TO READ THE ENTIRE BOOK OF PSALMS AND PROVERBS EVERY MONTH

! I try to read all 150 Psalms every month. I’ve attempted it for decades. There have been times I have missed, but I just pick back up. I begin with whatever day of the month it is and read that Psalm. Then I go forward 30 days until I can’t go any further.

Today I will read Psalm 1, 31, 61, 91, and 121. There are also 31 chapters in the book of Proverbs. I read the chapter that corresponds to the day of the month in Proverbs as well. This is the way I read the entire book of Psalms and the entire book of Proverbs every single month. 

These two books are so vital for prayer and wisdom that I always read them in addition to my other scripture readings.

Obviously, this isn’t the only Bible reading plan in the world. But if you don’t have one of your own, then try mine.

Pray your way through the Bible every day. Talk with God about what it says. Personalize it. Praise Him for who the Scriptures say He is. Use what you are reading as a guide. My very first chapter today, Psalm 1:2 says, “But they delight and the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.”

Always remember Psalm 27:8 NLT, “‘My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.’”
