CRACKS IN THE CLOUDS

I am sitting outside in my secret place responding to the call of Jesus to “Come and talk with Me” (Psalm 27:8, NLT). I’m looking up into the sky, and I see a mass of gray clouds moving. I have learned that the clouds and the wind carry great symbolism, and so I watch them. I ask the Holy Spirit to speak to my spirit through them.

What I am seeing this morning is that there are holes and cracks in those gray clouds. There is a burst of radiant light that shines through those cracks and holes.

To me, those cracks and holes in the clouds represent the cracks and holes in my life. They are a result of the broken places I have given to Jesus, and He has put back together. Those are not the ugly places that remain in my life; rather, they are the places where the light of Jesus is bursting through. It is the broken places in my life that are the beautiful places. They are the mended places where Jesus shines.

Friend, give Him everything. Give Him every broken part of you and let Him put you back together. When you do, the places you may perceive as imperfections are not at all. They are the openings Master Potter Himself has left in you to be able to shine out of you.
