WHAT HAS GOD ALREADY TOLD YOU?

One of my favorite teachings of my father is this: "The reason some of us don’t understand the Bible any more than we do is because we are not responding to the light God has already given us. Why should God show you more in His Word until you obey what you already know? Light obeyed increases light! If you want to understand the part of the Bible you don’t understand, begin to obey the part you do understand." Adrian Rogers

Ponder that!

Let me add a simple example from life. If your small child wants another helping of something and he hasn't eaten what he already has on his plate, will you give him another helping? Or, if he hasn't touched his dinner, will you give him his dessert?

I want you to get completely honest and remember what God has already asked you to do that you haven't yet done. I want you to remember what He has already shown you in Scripture that you have not yet applied. I want you to remember something you have already promised someone other than God, and you haven't yet followed through. Unkept promises to others are spiritual matters also.

You aren't waiting on God. God is waiting on you. When you finish the first course, He will serve you the next one.
