MY HAPPY PLACE
MY HAPPY PLACE
It’s 73°, the birds are praising, and the wind is gently blowing through the trees. I may stay out here for a long time. “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming’” (Psalm 27:8, NLT).
I have a special spot between two trees where I watch the clouds. Psalm 68:4, NLT says, “Sing loud praises to Him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD--rejoice in His presence!" In my heart, when I see the clouds moving between those two trees in the opposite direction they generally move there’s something in my spirit that says, “God is on the move today. Be alert.” And guess what, those clouds are moving and I’m on the alert.
Don’t miss out on your own “Sweet Hour of Prayer.” That’s when “He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own and oh the joys we share as we tarry there, no other has ever known.”
ADDENDUM: My grandchildren live next door and they saw me out here sitting on my front porch. So they ran over. Of course they did. I asked my six-year-old grandson, “Do you know what I’m doing?” He said, “Of course I do. You are reading your Bible and talking to Jesus.” Then he said, “Can I sit out here and talk about holy things with you for a while, GiGi?” I’m sure you know what that does to my heart. God is giving me a do-over with my grandchildren.
