ONE DECISION WILL COVER THEM ALL

If you get the first button wrong, it doesn’t matter whether all the rest are in order; they will all be wrong. On the other hand, if you get the first button right, you don’t have to worry about all the other buttons. They will automatically fall into their proper place.

You only have to make one decision. That one decision is to put Jesus first.

People love to make lists of things they intend to do. Instead of making a list of those items, make one single resolution that says, “Lord, I’ll do everything You tell me to do, instead of me informing You of my intentions.”

You certainly don’t want to tell God you have a lot of errands to run and ask if He wants to ride along. Can you see the difference?

One is telling the Lord you will follow HIM wherever HE leads. The other is asking God to accompany you to all the places YOU have decided to go and to help you do all the things YOU have decided to do.

Just get the first button right, and that will be all you need to do.

“This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13:14).
