THESE ARE MY NEEDS, WHAT ARE YOURS?
I want someone to see me, understand me, feel what I’m feeling, and care. Is there anyone who doesn’t want that?
I can quit looking. I have someone. King David had the same needs. In Psalm 25:18, he cries out, “Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins.” God does that!!!
Psalm 21:7 says, “You have seen my troubles and You care about the anguish of my soul.” Psalm 33:15 says, “He made their hearts, so He understands everything they do.”
Quit trying to fill the deep longings of your soul with things and people who can never be what you need. You have been created “with a God-shaped vacuum that only He can fill.”
God sees you, understands you, feels your troubles, and cares. Quit looking for love in all the wrong places.
He placed those needs within you when you were created SO THAT your emptiness would cause you to turn to Him. Adrian Rogers said, “Why settle for anything less than God’s best for you?”
