NOTHING IS RANDOM
“The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” ( Proverbs 20:24).
If there is a detour, there is an additional assignment or person you need to minister to that you know nothing about. You need to leave the beaten path to pick that person or that assignment up.
If there is a delay, there’s something that needs to ripen more. It will only become better when it does, and you will only become better able to receive it.
If there is an interruption, there is something God has planned for you that trumps what you planned for yourself. Whatever it is, it has more eternal value than what you had planned to do.
Don’t question, don’t second-guess when God changes your direction or your schedule. He knows far more than you do. He sees from a perspective you can never see. He knows the future. He knows what He is wants to do. Nothing is random.
Never get frustrated when your plans are changed. Rather, rejoice that God has taken control of your schedule. How awesome is that?!
Your job is not to ask Him to accompany you as you accomplish your daily to-do list. Your job is to follow Him as He accomplishes His to-do list through you. That is a far different thing!
